Another Dragon Run

Went to Deal's Gap again yesterday. MUCH better day than last Sunday as the sun was shining and beautiful. Here are some pics (again if you want hi-res let me know):

This is on the pulloff on Hwy 74 between Nantahala and Fontana:

So many bikes at the resort that cars were parking across the road in the grass:

Fugitive Dam (from the movie of the same name):

My car around the Fugitive Dam area:

New Saleen Mustang (note: I am not a fan of the new GTs, but this thing was bad and it sounded AMAZING):

This guy was cool as hell and his car is bad a$$ - I had to help him keep from scraping:

These wheels are sexy:

My car at the bottom of Fontana Dam:

I can lead us through kindof a tour of the area so that everyone can get some good pics and pics of their cars.

Yeah 2fast. Come on down!

We should give a long distance award. If you decided to go, right now you would be the long distance leader.

Damn, you should have called me. BTW, your car looks sharp. I think I'm going to get some fogs for mine.

Sorry about that. I think the bugs got lost when I compressed the pics for website usage.

I did however wash my car (by hand) in Franklin before I left to go over there. There's definately not any car washes in the specific area of Deal's Gap but I would bet there is a car wash in Robbinsville which is real close. I can ask some people I know at Fontana Village next time I go over there.

Quick Tip: Throw a sponge and a microfiber towel in the trunk. That way when you get to the car wash you can soap it, clean with sponge (don't miss a spot or you WILL see it), rinse it and then dry it.

If you don't dry it by hand you WILL have water spots and they will collect dirt. Also - FYI for the Si's - i know it's a tight fit between the trunk lid and the spoiler, but if you don't wash under there it IS noticeable.

If anybody wants to come over to the Dragon before the meet let me know and I'll see if I can't meet you over there.

I'm trying to come. It's my 2 year anniversary with my girl, so I'm trying to convince her to have a romantic getaway for half the weekend and then the other half we'll meet up with people and drive a cool road.

She's nearly convinced...I think.
