HFP Suspension

Hi there buddy. I am "researching" on the suspension that i desire for my FD2auto. I am from Singapore by the way and our FD2auto is rated at 155bhp with abt 189Nm of torque, 5speed auto "triptronic style box.

While the stock suspension is much stiffener than the FD1 (1.8L) I find there is still too much roll especially at the rear especially when doing high speed sweeper on track.

Until yesterday, i was advised to look into HFP suspension 2006 from hondapartsdeals.com and today Japanparts.com: TOKYO GM SHOKAI KK where both website offers aftermarket but geniue suspension manufactured by Honda.

Now for the question, have you or do you know if the stiffness or damper rating between these 2 suspensions? Also, is HFP suspension stiffer than Si suspension found in the states?

Thanks.

hey thanks for the question... i can really only vaguely answer it however. i do know that b/t OEM & HFP; HFP is definitely the stiffer & firmer setup. OEM is stiffer than the REGULAR Civic (FG1/FA1 here stateside) but still a lil soft for my taste which is why i chose Honda warrantied & proven/tested HFP setup.

sorry i couldnt be of more specific help but that's what i got for ya.

Thanks buddy. short answer but spot on.

dont mind me asking the next question, under the HFP (which i ventured in colleaguehill honda website) there are 3 different part nos for Si 2 dr and 4 dr and normal civic. in your knowledge, can the Si (4 Dr) HFP fit the normal civic 4 dr?

yes they "fit;" but are pretty much tooled & engineered with "weight" differences in mind along with capacity/load requirements/strictures of each of the different cars.

example of what is possible combination-wise:
*the Civic Hybrid (4DR only available just fyi)
*the regular Civic (LX, EX, & EX-L) 2DR
*the regular Civic (LX, EX, & EX-L) 4DR
*the Civic Si 2DR stock suspension
*the Civic Si 4DR stock suspension
*the Civic Si 2DR w/ HFP suspension
*the Civic Si 4DR w/ HFP suspension
*they each have differing spring rates & tolerances if im not mistaken.
