Thats wrong man, lol. I have gone to a million honda dealers (I am at one right now actually to get my MTF changed over) and no one can give me a straght answer about it. I am gonna put my stock intake back in and redyno it and see if the SRI is causing the problem.

Obviously those who update it often will have more hits than those who post less frequent. It's not so much being known, it's being liked. It'd be interesting to see how many votes Rippar's car got if it had my name attached to it. I'm not saying his car is bad looking, but it just looks like a coupe with HFP and wheels, competing with cars that have much more done to it. Just an example, I see this all the time in ROTM and it's never with Joe Schmoe, it's always a liked person on here. What can ya do though?

Well, we've had people come out of no where and taken the competition and blown them away. I don't think its that much of a problem.

Did I know who mugen kid was before he was in the running? No... I didn't really follow ezcivictypeR either. I see where you are getting at but, I think Rippars car is a little more than just a car with HFP and wheels.

Of course personality is going to play a role because this board is a community whereas some are just a website. Theres a sense of commradary (sp) which brings such great meets together. I know it has nothing to do with ROTM but its unspoken and part of it.

Frequent your personal build threads and post updates of new things. The people will decide if they like it or not. Theres no requirement for having one.... if you don't have one to show off your car, how are people supposed to know?

ROTM will always be a popularity contest as long as users are the ones voting for the winner. If there were judges consisting of the admins/moderators and maybe 1 or 2 past winners voting off of list of modifications (like a car show) that would at least be a little less biased.

But whatever works right? :)

Lol typical 8th civic response. If you're against something, obviously you're jealous of whatever or whomever. My car has aftermarket wheels and a shift boot on it. I'd be shocked and disappointed with the 8th if my car got nominated.

I think you should get rid of the free stuff all together or maybe just offer another year of VIP to the winner.

I don't even know why i even made this post cause marc is probably just gonna delete it anyways but I just want to see if other people feel the same way.

I agree. Post your car up over on fgcoupe. We like to vote for them over there as well.
