Thanks everyone. :) There was and is a lot of competition. There's some seriously nice cars on this site that are getting modded at breakneck speed. It's hard choosing who to nominate and even harder when it comes time to vote. The good thing is, all the cars have something about them that sets them all apart whether it's trying to stay sleeper but fast as all hell, sleaker take on stock, full on JDM, or truly panda original it's not easy making a choice so thanks again for those who voted for me and the others as well. :)

BTW I noticed you have the car lowered on the Tein SS coilovers.

I ordered a set for my FG and they are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I was just curious if you were happy with yours and if you could offer any feedback on them?

Any input would be aprreciated.

Dave, possibly the most important piece of advice I can give you is watch the offset on your wheels. Go too far out, and you'll get rubbing even on the hardest setting. After about 6 months my springs settled out so much that the profile of the car shocked me. Dang it's low! I love them though. I'm glad I have this set.

Wowser!

Congrats, Dawn! The Blue Meanie has to be one of the BEST looking cars on any Forum, anywhere! Very tastefully done with not a single grain of 'rice' anywhere!

Thanks, guys. :)

And Don, I'm a firm believer that rice is for food not for cars. :) I'm a minimalist at heart, I just let that reflect to my car.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to atruhondagrl again.

I just thought I'd give you a little gift... For both the comment AND the ROTM title!!

+1 @ heart! :)

Dawn, thanks so much for your input. I'm glad to hear you are happy with the SS's. Now just one question, when you say watch your offset on the wheels how low of an offset do you think you can go with?

For example I have been considering a 17" x 8" set of wheels with an offset of 40. How do you think they would fit?

And btw how do you like the ride with 18's and the SS's? Would you recommend it for a daily driven car?

17 x 8" with a 40 offset puts your wheels out kind of far. You may experience rubbing. I do with my 42s. It wasn't a problem at first. But when I came back last month the car had 6 months to settle on it's springs. I was getting a lot of rubbing which is what prompted me to want new wheels. I talked to my shop and they're going to work with me to fix the problem. Like raising the car and maybe rolling my fenders. I love my wheels. Here is a good site to go to for calculating offset: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
