Ricky,
How about a 3 step system. First 10 days - people get to submit their rides to be eligible for the final running. Admins/Mods then pick 10 of the best cars they feel should have the chance ( obviously 5 is very hard when you have 20 people submit, and 10-15 of those are worthy of being up for voting) Next 5 days - Members vote on the 10 cars, and the top 5 make it through to the final ( what we have now) Then the last 15 days is status quo, how it is now. Thoughts? P.S - It's ride of the month, for people who invest a lot of money and time into their rides ( to make it better than others/more unique). There are thousands of stock cars out there with one or two mods. James your Mugen is nice, but it is still pretty stock. You can't go to a car show and expect them to go easy on you because you don't have the money some of the other competitors have, or enter into a racing series but not being able to afford new tires, and expecting people slow down for you on track. it's not about that for me, but when you go up against those other cars that were submitted, who would you choose? Now be honest. Would you say you're in the top 5 of those cars?

Month 1: N(ominee)1, N2, N3, N4, N5. Winner: N1See the trend? IMO, ROTM would probably be a better experience (and have less complaints) if nominees from the previous month (whether they've won or not) should be excluded from the current month. This would at least spice up the competition drastically - giving us different cars each round - and the competition itself would feel more inclusive (rather than the closed format we're experiencing now). Doing so would make it less of a popularity contest, but rather more of a proper "ride of the month". That said, I'm really surprised that the red FA5 didn't get in. |

not hatin', just stating the facts.. the wheels look good, but i am 90% sure the yellow Si would have gotten in if his wheels were Volks not Rota's ( and maybe some Go with the Show). Also, your car looks good, but i'm 99% sure you'd have more votes if they were RE30's.
It's a competition, i was voicing my opinion on why certain cars weren't in, or doing well. I can appreciate knockoff wheels as long as they flow with the car, so don't take it personally. Last edited by jrotax101; 06-17-2009 at 12:01 AM. |
