It's disappointing to see this happen yet again. I was EXTREMELY disappointed when it was taken away last time. I was glad to see it come back- it adds something unique to the site and keeps people visiting. I haven't researched this instance that much, but to me everyone should just take it a little lighter. It wasn't even close to as bad as other situations that have occurred with ROTM. Just remove him from this month, then let him try again. He knows to be more aware now. It could have been a lot worse.

Why? Because people spend $3000 on F/I doesn't mean they can't be in the same catagory as someone else.
If that's the case, custom paint jobs and custom audio systems shouldn't be allowed with "regular" cars. That all takes away from the whole "ride" of the month. |

It's very hard to say what people look for in rotm... look at MugenKid. His car is super clean and he really had NO performance mods. And then you go back further and you see Complex (in my opinion, a complete car), he had it all, spared no expense. Then you have the one of kind guys like K20SDN or Sickyute, the first of their kinds. It's all about what takes your eye at the moment you see the pictures.
Edit: Just a quick question, why don't we have the 8thcivic community choose the nominees as well? Sorry if this has been answered already. Last edited by APupNamedSmokey; 03-20-2009 at 03:47 PM. |

Allowing only VIP members to vote would really help minimizing the chances of cheating, new members won't pay for VIP just to make their friend win.
Also, little pictures that show each main mod you have on your car would be a better idea than allowing only two pictures that you can hardly see anything in and people usually don't read the mods list.. Last edited by xheartcore_boyx; 03-20-2009 at 04:05 PM. |

I think the VIP voting has been done before. I don't know why they stopped it though...
I believe its better when your only given 2 pictures. You have to choose on your own what would others like to see about your car (i.e. take a picture of the charger, picture of the car or pic of the wheels). Besides, under the mod lists they usually have links to the persons biuld thread, which is full of pictures. |

I don't think it's fair to say that a regular member who contributes to the forums and has 5,000+ posts or something can't vote as compared to a VIP member that doesn't contribute. Last edited by 06RREX; 03-20-2009 at 07:33 PM. |
