Unfortunately, I think it is too hard to regulate that. To some certain extent, I do believe that your ride of the month should be presented in some what of an appealing fashion. This doesn't necessarily mean you have to drop $2,000 in camera gear in addition to whatever modifications you've done to your ride. It just means to provide a relatively clear image. You would never try to sell your million dollar house by taking camera phone pictures, would you? Likewise, you would never want to walk into a professional job interview wearing khaki shorts, sandalls and a ripped t-shirt because it wouldn't matter what kind of assets you could contribute. Your presentation is terrible.

I dont have much of a suggestion, but I do however have to say the current state of ROTM and ROTM rules/regulations is probably the best IMO.

I like the fact all users can vote once again, and I like the fact new users cannot, because we never know if someone is getting friends to sign up to vote for them. I think that is great.

Why? If I didn't have photoshop, I wouldn't be able to shop in my LE37s or my HFP kit. My car would look so boring stock.

Thanks to Yodums and any other mods for changing it back so the members can vote. I know I was one of the people complaining about the old system. I love the new system. I just need to do a couple more things to my car to get it up there!

It doesn't usually start until this time of the month. I'd say the next two days.

I was wondering the same thing...We are supposed to submit our cars between the 1st and the 15th and then vote from the 16th to the end of the month.

Not being able to use photoshop in pics is just stupid...professionals use photoshop, aperture, or some photo editing software on almost all of there work, so why shouldn't we be able to?!?

Yodums handles the ROTM and is a bit backed up with some other things. The final voting for August will commence very soon.

My assumption is that using Photoshop has some other members crying foul. It's believed it gives an advantage over other potential nominees who are unable to use Photoshop, for whatever reason. ROTM is a contest on best rides, not best photo-editing skills.

Again, that's just my assumption.

I'm in no rush, I was just curious...

And as far as people thinking PS is an unfair advantage thats just ridiculous...Like you said this is ride of the month not pic of the month and if people are voting for cars based on their pics then thats too bad. As far as editing pics goes, if a person decides to spend the time taking quality pics and editing them then they deserve to post their hard work.

Although 99% of the HDR's on this site are completely unnecessary, I don't see why you couldn't post one.

If a mod wants to delete my post in the ROTM Voting for August...I guess I understand but i will post my answer here too

I'm not saying this doesn't happen in other regions, there are lots of sick Si's in cali and all over the country but when one region has the majority vote, it is kind of hard for anyone else to win.

That is the only downfall to the ROTM system in my opinion. Each region will vote for the person representing them, sometimes no matter whether the car is worthy to win or not.

I guess this should be in the rotm suggestion thread, so mods - sorry.

again

This month has been close so far, hopefully it will go to the last day between the 3 of us for an exciting end!
That's so not true, and you my friend have a bad view on this topic, and just to prove you even more wrong, I know a bunch of guys from the Northeast that voted for cars that are not part of the Northeast, it's ROTM not Member of the Month, and if you still upset that Crack beat you with similar mods a couple months ago, I think it might be time to move on. I didn't want to get into this conversation, but I had no choice. You know as well as anyone else that "your boys" voted for you, the same way "my boys" voted for me, that happens everywhere, but then there are the rest of the guys that voted for the nicest car, the car that deserves to win it because of all the time/effort put into their car.

If your statements are true, the top 3 should be Demo, Me and Dave...just because we know so many people from the Northeast, correct???

Me personally I don't really plan on doing much more to my car, atleast not in the immediate future so I don't plan on submitting my car for ROTM anymore.
