No need for 2 threads for the same thing

Fading from a picture to nothing (transparent) can be done using the feathering option

I have no idea what other thread you are talking about. Care to post a link?

If you are asking what I think you are asking, then using gradiants would be your easiest bet... but like I said, I'm not 100% sure what you are referring to.

Just looked at the other thread.... assuming you have everything on different layers then apply a Gradient Layer Mask to fade the flames out.

PM me if you need more help

If you are truly interested in learning more then doing just car related photoshops check out the weekly podcasts from photoshopusertv.com and if you really really want to get into it perhaps get a membership to the NAPP.

Make a new layer, use either white to black or transparent to black gradient, in the direction you want the fade. Put that layer over the top of the image, change the image layering to "Multiply" (or keep it as-is if you used transparent) and then lessen opacity to about 50%. That's one way to do it.

Yeah, this one is free and it's amazing the different stuff that you can learn from it. The guys on the show are amazing and have released some great books with a plethora of information as well. I am also a self-taught photoshop guy. I thought I knew a lot (obviously I knew there was still a lot that I didn't know) and I've learned a TON from these guys. You can download it each week from that site.

You don't need an ipod to watch them. The term "podcast" is rather misleading as you don't have to have an ipod to use it. All you need is a itunes -OR- quicktime to watch it.

havnt really gotten a chance to try anything that you suggested but i did this real quick..what u think? it needs the hood fixed and the oultine around the windows inside..but i still think its an improvement since it all flows better.
