Help with Photoshop

Need help deleting a white outline behind an image. I copied a picture of a car offline, however, in front a white abckground. I want to put 2 cars side by side, but the white overlaps. How do I remove it.

Post pics of what you have.

I'm off to the vet, but I'll check it out when I get back.

Depending on the amount of shading in that white background, you can either use the Magic Wand tool or the Extract option.

Click the Magic Wand on any white space background and it will try to automatically select everything around the car. Then you hit the Delete button on your keyboard and it erases it. It's far from perfect though and may still require additional steps.

Using "Extract" will make you use a highlighter to outline the edges of the car.

I could go into great detail, but unfortunately I don't have the time to. Do a search in the Help section of Photoshop for more details, or just post some pics up for kelmar to evaluate.

I think I know how now. I did the masking technique. Making a duplicate layer and using the color range to single out the vehicle and then changing the levels to delete the white background. Thanks for the help.!

Or you could do that.
