Leo, I am using the JPEG "2" quality setting, and the baseline "standard" format option. Which control are you referring to? I am a little new to high-compression web graphics, I usually do graphic design on the poster-size level. Thanks for the tip.

^ What Ethlar said.
I just start at High quality and drop down slowly to find the best settings, I don't use Photoshop, use Paintshop, and compression is at a range of 8% - 12% nothing lower (92% - 88%) so far. Just slowly drop it, makes a world of difference.

Yeah I have the Design Premium Suite. I am pretty impressed with what I see, haven't quite played with all of the apps yet, but what I have played with has done nothing but impress.
The Adobe Police are going to come to your house now, MindFusion, watch out for black Tahoes!!

I have the Creative Suite 3 Design Premium. I must say there are quite a few changes in the former Macromedia applications. Their interfaces have been modified to be more "Adobe-like". They are all organized well and there is only a slight transition you may have to go through. I have used Photoshop the most and I really like what they have done to it. Lots of things got easier to get to and things that would take a few minutes before only take a few seconds now. Once again, there is only a little transition period, as everything is placed in logical locations. Overall, I am pretty impressed. I mainly upgraded so I could have full Vista compatibility but it seems I got my money's worth with the redesigned programs. Not sure about the video production programs (after effects, audition, encore, premiere), as I have not even laid eyes on their CS3 versions... |
