Which Photoshop to buy??

I am looking to buy photoshop becuase i am going to be purchasing a new DSLR camera here very soon. My problem is, i looked it up on circuitcity.com and newegg.com and there is too many options. I don't really know what i need. I have used photoshop back in highschool but don't know if it was elements or the CS2 crap or whatever.

What do you guys use??? I want to be able to make carbon fiber hoods, change color of cars and rims, put effects on my photos and what not.

you can download a trial version and find a crack that will give you a full version. I would get CS2 over elements.

Get cs2. You can do almost anything if you know how to use it.

Try Gimp, it's free. not as many featurs as photoshop, but a great open source project none the less.

..but downloading CS2 won't be the problem, the issue will be finding the key to use the program

Hummm i have a key, I bought a full program and never used it...LOL Mac OSX only

Elements is exactly as it sounds. It's elements of the full program. Most simple photo editing things can be done with it. I don't know what it doesn't have though, check out the Adobe website they'll tell you what each one has and doesn't have.

just FYI... I think CS3 is coming out 2nd quarter of 2007. If you have a mac, you can download the CS3 beta.

Hmm the only the thing that i dont like about the CS2 is the price
