Gonzo's Si (He wishes)

So I've fantasized about getting an FG2 more than any other person I think. You know the obessesion is bad
when you've figured out what you'd do to the car when you get it.

Well assuming I do get an Si and it is my first choice color (TW) I've figured out what I'd like to do it initially.
Since I'll be broke after getting it I'll have to make due with what comes on the car.

Through the wonders of everyone's favorite photo editing software I've come to this...

I apologize as I've long forgotten who's car this is. I've only done some minor things to the car since that is all
it needs at first. I think the small changes help a lot though. There is no HFP kit because I've decided I wouldn't
want to spend that much and I don't like it as much as stock. Plus it is just more weight. The fact there is no front
plate on this car also helps the looks a lot.

Edits here are...
White wheels: I really like white wheels on the TW Si. They normally don't appeal to me but I think they look
pretty good. The Si's stock wheels aren't ideal but I'll be poor.

Red Centercaps: Red and white will be the main colors on the car. The red caps are subtle but go nice with Si
badges and the fact the taillights are red. (again, red and white)

Cleared corners: They look great on the Si, especially on white. A very clean look. This edit is kinda ghetto
because it kept the texture the orange plastic. The orange doesn't reflect light as well as the headlights
so it looks kinda hazy.

I tried to remove the Vtec sticker but my initial attempts didn't look to great (might try later with the clone
tool but I don't know if I care to go back and edit it...) On my car I'd remove the stickers.

Here is the same photo but with a ghetto photoshop red lip. I don't much like it but I figured I'd make one
because it looks good on other cars where people have done it.

Well those two are all I've got for now, here is another white on white PS I did on Tim's car if you want to check it out...
Correct wheel color
Incorrect wheel color, but cleared corners

I think I rival you bro.. I've talked about buying an si for long enough that I eventually talked my best friend to trade in his limited edition sti for one.. and then become an active member of this site.. (esx005).

I love the fg2 and I've come to terms with the fact that I'll probably never own one.. which is why I've started looking towards the ep3. A used ep3 is more in my price range. Well, sort of..

In any case, the chop does look good. I hope that you can pull off the taffy fg2 asap.. at least one of us can live the american dream

Yeah, I'd really like to get one. Ever since the first concept was revealed I was pumped for it to come out. Starting hanging out on 8thgencivic which tada, became 8thCivic. :)

I'll be earning some decent money toward one soon. I'd managed to set aside about 3k from jobs and oddjobs, ect but it looks like that money may be put toward paying for an apartment I'll be moving out of.

All the potential subleases I had lined up all backed out, most without telling me so I had to call/email with no responses. You'd think people would at least be decent enough to tell you they are no longer interested after coming over and looking at the place, filling out an application, and saying it was a sure thing they'd like to move it, then one day just not responding leaving you wondering if they are no longer interested or just out of contact. I guess that was convenient for them...
Just sucks that some people are inconsiderate. If they had told me they weren't interested I could have started offering the place to others sooner. SOOO there goes all the money I'd managed to save so when I get my new job it will be starting from ground zero on my Si funds.

Sorry for the rant. *sigh* Life's frustrations. I can't complain to much cause I ain't starving and at least I can afford an apartment I won't be living in. Hahaho, oh that's not funny... But hey I can still afford all the stuff I need and more which is all that matters. Plus I've still got my trusty albeit bland Jetta.

As far as the time attack style wheels, yeah I'd have to do a better photoshop or something to get a better idea. The more I look at those stockers, I like them in white more and more. Now that I've gotten a fairly close color especially.

Next photoshop will be a white Si but in bright sunlight so we can see what wheels of a similar color would look like in that situation. If they don't look so good I might try a slightly creamier color. Eggshell or something...?

I've been holding off on powdercoating the TSX until I get rid of some of my sets of wheels... and I am going to get a few of my other sets cleaned up and polished so that I can sell them too... but I do still intend to get them whited out. I think I'm gonna have to get some white H centercaps though. Then, you'll just HAVE to get the white Si!

If it makes you feel better man, I not only picked everything out (fbp w/navi).. I also had worked out a deal with a girl that worked at my local Honda dealership to give me her employee discount. After all of that I started working out money to be able to pick one up and cover the roll-over from my 7 month old 7th gen, just to decide to go back to school and quit my job in the process.

I planned on returning to my job not too long ago, but I had a family member offer to pay for quite a bit of dental work to be done for me.. Which is extensive to say the least. So now I wait even longer to start working again and get an ep3.. not even my 2nd choice but it's whateva. :shrugs:

I love the white on white colour scheme i.e. JDM ITR w/ the white OEM rims.

It'd be really kick ass if you pull it off.
