How To Make See Through Parts

For anyone who is wondering how to make parts clear or semi clear in pictures here you go, there are a couple methods to doing this I'm sure, this is the way I did it. A tripod or safe steady place to put your camera is your best method, if you know someone with a tripod, time to become friends and borrow it.

Update: New Method, 10x Easier:
http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showt...382#post457382

You will want to get your two pictures

mine didnt quite line up so I had to turn the opacity on one down to 50% or so and use the nudge tool (arrow keys) to get it right.

Select all of one of your images and copy it to the clipboard, make a new document, size will automatically adjust for you and make the Background Contents transparent. Paste in the picture with the hood down twice and the hood up once. Put the hood up layer (Layer 3 here) at the bottom.

You can zoom in on the area that you want to make transparent here, turn the opacity on the the middle layer (Layer 1 here) down so that you can see the engine but make sure you continue to work in Layer 1.

Select your Lasso tool and set the Feather to 40-60 pixels, circle the area you want to make clear and hit delete. (photoshop will round out your selection area) you will end up with the middle layer alone looking something like this

If you changed them, return the opacities of the bottom two layers to 100% and make the top layer visible if you had hidden it. Adjust the opacity of the top layer to make the look you desire, i chose 40%, and save

It should end up looking something like this

I was thinking that last night. Actually you can. All you need is one of the demonstration models in some schools or if you're lucky enough, like my sister was, actual body parts. She went to become a doctor and had bins of body parts for study
