TUT: Inserting an Image

Ok, in this tutorial im gonna show you how to take another image and insert it into another image.

For the object that is to be inserted im going to be using a wheel, since thats the most common thing asked on this forum.

If there is something specific you want just ask.

Step 1.

Ok first thing you are going to need to do is open both images. The main image and the image you will be inserting.

Step 2.

Next select the Eliptical Marquee Tool.
Now take that tool and select the rim.
*For CS2 Users*
An easy way to select the rim is by moving the cursor to the center of the wheel and hold down Ctrl whil draging the mouse to select the wheel.

Step 3.

Now that you have the rim selected.
Press Ctrl+C to copy the wheel.
Now move over the the other picture and press Ctrl+P to paste the wheel.

Step 4.

Once you have the wheel on the new image, take the pointer and center it over the original wheel.
Now select Transform>Scale.
Now put the cursor on a corner of the wheel and hold down SHIFT while scaling the wheel down to keep it rim equal without making it lopsided.

Step 5.

Now turn down the opasity so that you can see the original wheel behind the new wheel.

Step 6.

*CS2 Users*
Now goto Transform>Warp
Now go around the edges of the rim and warp the image to fit the original wheel exactly.
*Other Users*
Yal wont be able to get exact, but yal will prolly have to use Distort or another option.

Step 7.

Now you will need to Right-Click on the wheel layer and select Duplicate Layer.
This will put another copy of the wheel in its finished form on top of the wheel you just finished.

Step 8.

Since you duplicated the layer select the pointer and click on the wheel and move it over the the other original wheel to replace it. Use the arrow keys to get fine adjustments.

And this is your finished project.

In this picture i went ahead and added tint to the windows and lowered it a bit.
