Look what I did... You HAVE to play speedball before you die. Now I just need to get rid of that watermark.

^Love the picture, but why didn't you "level the playing field" so to speak?

i was leaving the place, had my kids with me (my work kids), and we were on our way to the bus but i had to try a pic of this. i jumped a wall real quick and did it. i am going to mess with it a little later, crop and level. it was really just a quick attempt. now that i know what it could look like i might try it again. it was just for fun, but came out pretty cool. had i known what the product would have looked like i would have spent more time on it.

yea i agree, it is a little over developed. Just keep experimenting with Photomatix. When i first started, i would turn every setting all the way down then one by one turn them to the max to see what happened. After you figure out what exactly every setting does you can then use those to make very clean pictures.

FYI hdr's don't need to be at light smoothing all the way to the left on that little slider and strength doesn't need to be at 100.

all sweet pictures! I can't wait to try myself. Gotta get Photomatix! And I just found out how to use the auto exposure bracketing and the auto white balance bracketing feature on my Canon Rebel XSi. Should I use both at the same time or just one?

Photoshop actually has a really good HDR plugin as well. There are quite a few tutorials on youtube for those of you with Photoshop who wanna give it a try.

Ok here it is. My first try at HDR with Photomatix. I just went outside before it started to rain and got this photo. More to come as soon as I have more time and experience. I probably should've included a house or something in the picture. Any comments are appreciated.
