Project 8 - May 2008 Photography Challenge: "Contrast"
Project 8 - May 2008 Photography Challenge: "Contrast"
Congratulations to our March Photography Challenge winner, truflip As winner of the last challenge, (s)he can suggest the theme of this month's challenge. Also, I'll ask him/her to choose his three favorite submissions, not including his own, for voting. This will keep advanced photographers from winning every challenge and give a chance for someone else to be in the spotlight. The rules should be the same as last time: * Photos submitted without EXIF (metadata) date information will not be eligible. * Each photographer shall submit only one photograph for consideration. You may post additional photographs after the challenge is complete. If you post more than one photo prior to the deadline, the first photo shall be considered your official submitted photograph. Note: You can change your mind prior to the deadline...just edit your post with the new photograph. * The photograph shall be a new photograph (no photographs from your archives, please). * The photograph shall not be majorly altered in a photo-editing program. A watermark for copyright purposes is okay so long as it is not the main focus of the submitted photo. Other acceptable alterations include basic cropping, brightness and contrast. Color and focus adjustments should be made in-camera prior to taking the photograph. Note that I've taken white balance out of the acceptable alterations. White balance can be done in-camera. I apologize to you guys that shoot in RAW, just trying to level the playing field here. * The theme shall be adhered to, but is open to creative interpretation. Unobvious theme interpretations shall be submitted with a brief description of how the photo relates to the theme. * Please submit your photograph prior to the end of the month, May 31, 2008 TOP 3: 1.
