need help for photography class

alright well for my college photography class we're supposed to take pictures of "Social Taboo" but i'm having trouble thinking of things to take pictures of. the instructor showed us examples of some but they were mostly nude and i dont know if i have anyone that i would feel comfortable enough with to do that. and i'm not gonna show everyone in my class nude pictures of my girlfriend. so if anyone has suggestions of what to take pictures of please please help me.

this is tricky one. do you really have to shoot someone in nude? with due respect, you may consider shooting two guys walking down the road or somewhere holding hands :-)

I know this is a bit extreme, but how about the silhouette of someone outside a building (like a school) holding a gun... of course you'd use a watergun for the shot.

Make sure to have a flag or school bus in the image to help show what the context is.

Get a friend with an airsoft gun, then put orange tape over the tip. Shoot a picture of your friend taking off the tip.

If you feel brave, make the background a police station. OF COURSE, go inside, talk to an officer, see if its okay. Then make sure he sees you put the tip back on.

the two men holding hands was good. and picking their nose would work if it was an older person. a child is almost expected to pick their nose.

or even two men kissing would be good to.

i bet you could pull of an interracial couple as taboo also

Actually, what about two guys walking towards the local gov't marriage records office?

As you can tell, I think the background can be profound, adding to the picture.

Agreed! A bad background can make or break a photo.
