My D40 came a few days ago and I love it so much. Very easy to use for a beginner like me and the picture quality is amazing. I guess I'll just put all my shots in here for some C&C from yall. Let the whoring begin....

I love the Power House so much... and that mercury sign

I don't even know what that is.
sh33t_0f_p4p3r, I got my D40 through Dell for $500 but you can find a lot cheaper sites for it. The lowest I've see them go for is $475, but I can't remember the site though.

The last one is excellent, I like it! The one thing is the thing in front of your camera (the antenna looking things) is annoying, and the hidden lights on the ceiling on the left and right look...uneven. If there was people and some movement (Communion comes to mind) it would make it a lot more interesting.

2 and 3 are interesting, but the others are a bit dull.

Go out and take more!

Thanks for helping me and I'm just feeling around the camera right now getting used to everything. I don't know what's up with the lights though. What could give my pictures a bit more POP?

Did you photoshop them at all? Because they look pretty good.

Yes, I just used Auto Levels/Color/Contrast then multiplied the images and that's the finished product. Is that bad?

No it's not bad. Photography doesn't end when you press the shutter. But it does DQ you if you want to enter the Project 8 photography challenges.
