Red Bull "Illume" Exhibition Tour

Man... I had a great day yesterday. My buddy from work got two free $90 tickets to go see the Thrashers/Calgary game yesterday and he had asked me if I wanted to come along. I said yeah, despite having strep throat early that morning. We got to Phillips Arena and being it was my first time there and first time to an actual hockey game, I loved it. Just to make it even better, the Thrashers won 6-4. AWESOME! Anyhow, I manage to get in a lot of shots, and will be looking through them and posting them throughout the day.

After the game, we decided to hang around the downtown area and came upon "Illume" a photography tour sponsored by RedBull. It was the most amazing exhibition ever... You're out a night, and the weather's perfect... 65-ish, and your outside, nice, peaceful, serene. with these big flat screens galleries. They had so many different catergories such as playground, energy, spirit, new creativity, lifestyle, close-up, wings, sequence, experimental, and of course... illumination. All which were awesomely represented in the gallery. Here, I have included a link to the site...

They also gave us a booklet with all the photos and descriptions about the photographer, the photo, and the settings, which was really cool. It sorta kept us in the know...

And as far as 8thCivic.com goes, I think it is awesome that we have our monthly photo contest... it's something that further gets the community involved along with the hobby of cars.

Just thought I'd shared my day with you guys/gals.

one of my favorite shots was from David Blazek in the Sequence theme. And one from Marco Toniolo in the New Creativity theme.
