Yeah, that's why I like those too! The ultra-wide is great for these types of shots.

i mean buildings in my area :P i was gonna go out today and see..but i might do it sunday when theres not as many people downtown. i just really dont know how to mess with the camera settings to the get the best shots right now ive got my cam on my tripod waiting for my dog to get playful so i can take some shots of him mid air catching toys :) should be fun

There isn't anything wrong with just setting your camera on auto or P mode and taking pictures. Just worry about taking the picture and not so much about the settings. You'll learn settings as you go along.
