How to take a decent nighttime HID shot with a point and shoot

what would be the best settings as far as ISO and stuff... what else is needed to adjust?!

Turn down the ISO, set the camera for a slower shutter speed. Try and keep the camera above the cut-off so the lights don't completely wash out the shot. If you have to, use the flash to get more into the picture besides the lights.

And #1: Use a tripod or don't even bother.

^^ +1 here are some of my shots...iso 100, 25 seconds, f8. if you dont know too much about iso usage and stuff...look for the auto iso function in your point and shoot. and slow shutter = tv mode on your dial
