The flowers need slight benefit of added brightness/exposure, IMHO. But, otherwise, the color is very nice. I personally would have upped luminance (see my flower pic at the top, I will post the original of it when I get home) so the color would stand out, while lower the green luminance. The flower I took was in a parking lot.

I prefer the second flower, as the DOF on the first is too shallow. The background looks very good, but the flower itself is also slightly blurred. The second is much better, in terms of DOF, making it easier to look at.

Thanks for the input man. As far as upping the luminance, are you referring to luminescence?

When it comes down to it I hardly have enough free time to use my camera as much as I would like to so I when I have a little free time I quickly edit as many pics as I can, but I agree if I spent a little more time playing around with some adjustments they may pop a little more or be more pleasing to the eye.

And as for the butterfly shots, I know the focus isn't spot on and it annoys me but i still like the shots so i figured I'd post them. Its tough keeping a steady hand with a 300mm opened up, and even with a fast shutter my unsteady hands still through off the focus.

Ideally I would like to pic up a 50 mm and then play around some more with flower pics.
