^ You have the 50mm with USM yes? my next lens will most likely be a 60mm f/2.4.. over the 50mm f/1.4.. I'd really like the 1.4 but I'd take the 60mm's 1X over the 50mm for some reason :]... whats your take on that? :].. or would you rather recommend getting something like a 28-135mm type lens?

Its actually the 50mm f/ 2.5 macro. I love this thing... As far as the others, I don't know which I'd pick out of the two. And I'd definitely look into the 28-135mm as a possibility.

Yeah.. I asked child about what he'd recommend quite a while ago.. and he didnt think I should get a macro lens and get a nice wide range lens.. and yeah.. idk.. how far will the 135 go.. and how good is it for portraits :].

It works just fine for me, but I don't do too many portraits. I know people have told me that the 70-300 is a great lense as well, but I haven't had the chance to use one.
