Best Place for Photography Equipment?
I've heard people say to go to bhphoto.com.. but I can get free 2day shipping from Amazon.com.. and it will cost the same, so why not just get it from Amazon? Also, I've had no problems from them in the past. But yeah.. what other sites are highly reputable for camera equiptment. I'm going to purchase the Canon 10-22mm lens.. Thanks guys.
PS: Its 3am.. so my english isnt the greatest :]. |

Wolf and Ritz Camera are the same company and their retail stores usually have knowledgeable people and good prices. They also tend to throw in lots of free extras with purchase, and they are located all over the place.

BH is great. I've visited the store many times and have always walked away with my questions answered and have never felt ripped-off. The salespeople are very knowledgeable and they seem to have the latest gear with US warranty.
I ordered my Pentax K100D from Abe's of Maine. Again, the salespeople were helpful and the prices were competitive. |

BH has a good selection, but to be honest, their prices are not so great. You can do a lot better usually. However, they usually have everything in stock, so if you can't find it elsewhere they are a good backup.
I would suggest looking at Keh.com, I've ordered a large amount of gear from them, they carry both new and used. if you are comfortable with slightly used gear, I highly recommend it. ( which is never a bad idea to be honest, less likely to lose money on resale ) Beachcamera.com has some good deals to be found. |

I've had success with both Amazon and B&H. I've had to contact the sales department to ask the status of my order when dealing directly through Adorama. I haven't had a problem with Adorama when I ordered an item through their Amazon storefront. I prefer Amazon only because I use an Amazon credit card to take advantage of their 3% rewards program.

Bringing back up an old thread but for B&H is great because they have a lax return policy. I remember reading a thread on dpreview forums about a guy who returned a 17-40mm five times because his focus tests didn't come out tack sharp.
I bought a tripod and head from them last year but the top of the tripod was cracked. B&H sent me a UPS label to print off and all I had to do was drop it off at a UPS store then they sent me the replacement without a hassle. I know Amazon prices are usually a bit cheaper but the Amazon CSRs will probably not understand the meaning of "tack sharp" when you try to return a lens because it is "soft". I bought my camera from OneCall, they price match B&H and Amazon also. |
