I find the exposure meter to be accurate enough. It all depends on the lens you have IMO. Then again, its not hard to press a button and role a switch if you want to reduce the EV. :)
D200 is better, but unless your doing professional shots, a D80 will be more than enough. And then it matters with the photographer, not the camera. Actually its funny you should mention the exposure values 8thgen, my mom thinks I have a great sense of the values. |

plus its a little more complex to learn and you'll prob waste most of the features
![]() Actually now that I'm a month in I'm finally shooting in manual regularly.....hehe I guess I'm wasting the cam too! But I flip to auto or portrait when I can't get metrics right fast enough and the person is getting impatient (ie for a quick shot) |
