I'm going to add one more reason for people to make the trip next year.

looks like fun, thought more people would of attend tho since the dragon forum was 1 million + pages long. I wanted to attend but had some things to take care of that week and didnt have the time and energy to come out, did u guys have the meet at the same time Team Integra.com had theirs? i think their meet wasnt too long ago either like last weekend or so ago

I think there were a couple things that happened:

The THP crackdown probably had an effect. If you pay attention to the thread, that wasn't a problem for us.

Some people just don't understand why we're having the meet in the rural NC mountains instead of a more central location (where the roads are flat, straight, and boring).

One person there said calling it a "meet" is really a misnomer. It's more like a mini-vacation. It does indeed require some time, energy, and money to make the drive and participate. Many people realized at the last minute that money was too tight, they had things to do, etc.

However, as far as I know, everyone that has ever been to either meet has found it to be a rewarding experience. Most importantly, you get to spend a few days with other people from 8thCivic and truly get to know a little about them. Also, you get to drive your car on some of the best roads in the world.

I plan on adding a couple more activities to next year but the spirit of the event will stay the same. Hope to see you there!

yea some people dont know how fun it is to drive on some real smooth curved roads, i use to live in northern california and had a few meets up in tahoe area, reno, and now that im in northwest arkansas there are sure some fun driving areas out in the hills. Im glad you all had fun, and if any meets come up i wouldnt mind making the drive... i havent been in 8th that long but im sure i'll be making up for that and joining u all in a few meets

It really is much much more than a meet. To sort of paraphrase XTC, it's not just the sights, or the roads, or the cars that bring us out. Above all it is the people. It is a very different experience getting to hang out with members for a few days as opposed to a few hours.

I am soo pumped for next year, but it is still a year away.
