If we're outside during the day, I will be wearing a khaki-colored brimmed hat. If not, just ask where I am. I will have name badges with pins for you to write your screen name and real name on. Also, I will have a notebook for you to sign so I can report how many people attended. In addition, let me know if you want to be considered for the Coolest 8thCivic and Longest Road Trip awards.
Exhaust videoshoot info
In addition to the participants, I need some volunteers to assist me with the shoot. It would be great if someone had a nice video camera with tripod to film it. Also, we need two lookouts who will have 2-way radios at the top and bottom of the hill.
All participants and volunteers need to meet at Tapoco Lodge at 12:45 p.m. on Friday.
Friday lunch
I need to know approximately how many will be attending the lunch at the Dragon Den's Grill. We will be meeting at Tapoco Lodge at 1:15 p.m. and carpooling there at 1:45 because of limited parking.
Saturday lunch (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT)
I need to know exactly how many will be eating lunch at the Bistro by the River in Tellico Plains, TN.
Here are your menu choices ($14 each including drink, gratuity, and tax)- Beef skewers with grilled vegetables. Kettle style chips and focaccia on the side.
- Two brats with peppers and onions. Kettle style chips and focaccia on the side.
- 8 oz. hamburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and fries.
You must preorder this meal. You have two options.- Prepay for your meal using Paypal at THIS LINK!!! The cost is $14.75 here with the extra 0.75 going to cover Paypal fees. PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY!!!
- Find me at the meet prior to 10 a.m. Friday morning and pay me $14 in cash per meal and tell me your order. Please try to have correct change. I will be available in the lobby of Tapoco Lodge from 9:00-10:00 a.m. I will be calling the order in at 10:00 a.m sharp.
YOUR MEAL PAYMENT WILL BE NONREFUNDABLE. The reason for this is that I am going to give the Bistro my credit card number as collateral to make sure we show.
When you see me at the meet, I will give you a wristband indicating that you have ordered. The color of the wristband will indicate your menu choice.
Saturday dinner
We will have the following:
- Pulled pork BBQ sandwich
- Cole slaw
- Hushpuppies
- Cookie
- Your choice of water, iced tea, Coke, or Diet Coke.
The cost of the meal is $13 including tax and gratuity. It can be paid following the meal or, if you are staying at the lodge, it can be added to your room bill and paid when you check out.
I need to know approximately how many will be attending so please reply with this info.
Awards
At 6:00 a.m., everyone will get to vote on their choice for Coolest 8thCivic prior to Saturday dinner. We will try to get all of the contenders parked together in front of Tapoco Lodge. The winner will be announced at the banquet.
