8CCD-II Meal Information

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Breakfast
  • Tapoco Lodge will be having a breakfast buffet for $9.95 per person until 9:30 a.m.
  • The Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort's Dragon Den's Grille also serves breakfast from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The prices there will be less expensive than at the lodge.
  • Other places to eat breakfast can be found here.

Friday lunch at Dragon Den's Grille
  • The Dragon Den's Grille is located at Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort. They have great food there and it's reasonably priced.
  • There is limited parking for cars at the resort so we will be meeting at Tapoco Lodge at 1:45 p.m. then carpooling to the grille. Park on the gravel, not the asphalt. The paved area is for motorcycles only!
  • As shown by the parking situation, Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort has somewhat of a bias towards motorcycles but I do not believe they are against cars. They are more than willing to serve car enthusiasts as well. I have heard that they liked our group last year and have no problem serving us again. Please be respectful towards them because there is another group of car enthusiasts that have a large meet in the area which they do not care for at all. Evidently, there are quite a few arrogant people among them. (Hint: They drive small Japanese convertibles of a different make.)
  • Afterwards, we will have the exhaust video shoot on Wheelie Hill right in front of the resort. Be sure to drive your car there if you are participating in the video.
  • A couple weeks before the meet, I need to let them know approximately how many people we will have there.

Friday dinner
  • There are no group plans for Friday's dinner. You can find places to eat here or eat Tapoco Lodge's regular Friday dish.

Saturday lunch at the Bistro by the River
  • The Bistro by the River is located in Tellico Plains, Tennessee. They have great food there and are able to accommodate large groups.
  • Here are your menu choices:
    • Beef skewers with grilled vegetables. Kettle style chips and focaccia on the side.
    • Two brats with peppers and onions. Kettle style chips and focaccia on the side.
    • 8 oz. hamburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and fries.
  • The price of your meal is $14.00 each including drinks, tax, 18% gratuity.
  • I must know exactly how many of each dish we will order one day prior to our lunch there. Also, I have to give them my credit card number to guarantee our group will show. For these reasons, I must receive payment from everyone ahead of time and these payments will be nonrefundable. I am sorry about having to collect money for this dinner but I have no choice if we are going to eat there.
  • I plan to have two methods of payment:
    • First, I will take payments through PayPal starting a few weeks before the meet. More details later...
    • Second, at the meet, you can give me a cash payment in person before 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7. I plan on calling the Bistro at that time and placing our order.
    • If you are unable to get your payment to me by the deadline, I am sure there will be other places in Tellico Plains to eat. However, we will not wait on you when we leave the Bistro.

Saturday banquet dinner at Tapoco Lodge
  • We will have the following:
    • Pulled pork BBQ sandwich
    • Cole slaw
    • Hushpuppies
    • Cookie
    • Your choice of water, iced tea, Coke, or Diet Coke.
  • The cost of the meal is $13 including tax and gratuity. It can be paid following the meal or, if you are staying at the lodge, it can be added to your room bill and paid when you check out.
  • A couple weeks before the meet, I need to give them an approximation of how many people we will have there.
  • Awards will be given out at this meal.

I know Saturday's lunch and dinner might be considered moderately expensive by some people. I have tried to give cheaper options on the other days to offset the price of those meals.

I need to know approximately how many people we will have for Friday's lunch and Saturday's dinner and exactly how many people we will have for Saturday's lunch. Look for signup threads in the future.
