What we could do is maybe a group shot at Fontana Dam, then I could setup a nice static shot with the power station as the backdrop, and each car could drive in to the setup, stop, I take the individual's shot, then they pull out and the next one pulls in.

You guys would need to get permission to shoot a group photo at Fontana Dam if you're going to be parking on the grass. Other car groups do it all the time, and I'm sure the folks at Fontana Village can help set that up. Fontana Village also has a bucket truck that we might want to consider using for the group shot. I can get up on the top of the dam for a unique overhead angle, but it's an awfully long shot and we have to max out our longest lens.

Posters can't be discounted, sorry. They cost us a lot of money, hence the cost to customer. We still make about the same profit, whether you order posters, keychains, or CDs. The time it takes to add text to each image in Photoshop and make it look nice is a little time consuming, so we charge a couple more dollars for the added text...otherwise everyone pays the same higher rate, whether they want the text or not, which would not be fair to those who don't want it. If you still want posters on the cheap, you could have someone photoshop in the text to each image, and upload them to an online service like www.ezprints.com. Distribution will be a consideration.

Our posters are available in 10x15, 16x24, 20x30, and 24x36 inch prints for $12, $27, $33, and $43 respectively, plus $2-3 per image if they want text added.

If Fontana is not looking very promising, we might be able to just have each member drive across the bridge in front of Cheoah dam (aka "Fugitive" dam since it's the one Harrison Ford jumps from in the movie The Fugitive) which is about 1/4 mile north of Tapoco Lodge, and stop briefly so I can get a shot with that dam and power station in the background.

I hope that helps some. If you're not interested, our feelings won't be hurt or anything. I've never tried the static shot thing before, so it could be a little tricky to coordinate, but I'm optimistic that it could be a cool shoot.
