I went back 2 more times to run the Dragon/Cherohala Skyway but didn't stay overnight those times. I highly recommend a drive on the Skyway....more long sweeping turns.

I've also heard that Fontana Village was in some disrepair before new owners started pumping money into the place a couple years ago. Now, things there are a lot better.

Yes, that sounds right. I want to head back up there again soon...only about a 2 hour drive from here. Caesar's head is another good area to drive around also.
