Help design a Dragon meet T-shirt!

Even if you're not going to the meet, if you're interested in letting your creative juices flow, you're welcome to come up with some ideas. jasonandre did not go to the meet last year but volunteered to take on the job.

Here's the requirements:

1. The following must be on the shirt:

• 8thCivic.com Conquers the Dragon II
• Deal's Gap, NC
• Sept 6-9, 2007

2. "8thCivic.com" must be in the configuration and fonts as it appears on the site:

3. The design must look good on both black and gray shirts.

4. A large design will be on the back with a similiar small design on the left chest in front.

5. It must have a dragon incorporated into the design.

6. Final design proposals

• All final proposals must be PMed to me by Monday, April 30 at 9:00 pm EST.
• Both front and back designs must be submitted on both gray and black backgrounds. Thus, four pictures will be submitted in total for each design.
• The backgrounds can be no more than 800x800 pixels.
• Final proposals will be voted on throughout the month of May.

Looks like a good start there, NBPRudy! I like the dragon and the placement of the site logo. One problem I see is that there isn't enough contrast between the logo and the dragon. Maybe you can make the dragon a different color. I prefer the design without the signs. Also, maybe try something a little fancier with the fonts. jasonandre's combination of fonts is one of my favorite aspects of last year's design.

Randy, I would like to see some more color, maybe blue or green on the dragon. Also, I think the font is still too plain. Maybe you could put the dragon on the side too like jasonandre did. Just play around with it and show us what you come up with.

Chris, I think it's going to be hard to improve on last year's design. Jason did a good job of incorporating the actual route of the road into the "dragon" design and the print colors & font rock. Why don't you just offer the shirt in a different color with the same design to differentiate between the '06 & '07 meets, say white or red? Just a thought---

I'm thinking this could be the back of a shirt - would look good on either white or black shirt.

My other idea is do a list of the states and provinces that participate going down instead of the image.

I think he found that dragon on the internet actually.

We can't just do the same thing year after year. You're right about it being a great design and it will be a challenge to equal or top it. I don't want to recycle it though.
