no really... all seriousness now.. is everyone stayen at tapoco? i am too broke right now to make any reservations and once i wait i will be screwed out of a place to stay... any suggestions?

They don't charge your credit card til you get there.

I'm interested...

Hoping to find a cabin or cottage with 2 rooms for 2 couples...

EDIT: Tapoco Lodge has only 3 economy rooms left that share a bath(mens & womens seperate). One with a full bed & 2 with double twins. $75/night incl. tax... I'm looking into some other places...

Just made reservations for my g/f and myself at the Microtel Inn in Robbinsville, NC. Also reserved a room for 8th member CrackThatTec45 and g/f at same place.

The place is 20 mins away from Tapoco. There's 30 rooms still available as of right now. I just got off the phone with them.
5 Single queen suites - comes with micro & fridge-most expensive
7 Double queen rooms
18 Single queen rooms - this is what i booked. best price 279.80+tax for 4 nights

If you're gonna book here, I wouldn't wait too long. The place has 50 rooms and is down to 30...

My sister was chosen for make a wish and they are sending my family on vacation... if i book now do you think there will be a problem canceling my reservations if it happens on the same week?

You need to cancel your reservations 30 days before you are supposed to check in, I think. They will let you know the exact condition if you call.

It's a bittersweet happiness to hear your sister was chosen for make a wish, I hope you all have a great time on the vacation and I hope you are able to make the dragon too. Best of luck to your family.

Thank you very much, they are sending the family to Disney in Florida... I am assuming they are flying everyone down; if thats the case, i will come to the dragon for a few days, then catch up with them down in Florida. I will see, this is still all up in the air as of right now, I want to make my reservations, but i dont even have the money on my debit card right now, so i dont want to send anything through... well I'll see... i know they dont usually charge until you get there, but i would rather be safe than sorry ya know...

Well I just reserved a room checking in on Thursday and out on Monday! Now i just need some motivation from you guys to save money so i can afford the room! EDIT: unless someone wants to grant my wish and pay for my room... ha ha jk'ing <--- lame attempt at joke...

Do not attempt to do both. You can never get back the time in FL with your sister. Before trip excitement, plane ride with her, Photos missed, smiles, laughs. The choice is obvious; screw the dragon, catch it next year.

Maybe you are too young to realize this now, but time with family is the most important thing, especially when it is a special event.
