Can Someone Help Me?

I need advice.
Parked in an underground parking today. Parked in a spot where there were pipes above my car. Came back, and saw drops on my windshield. Thank god not the roof of my car. Never the less, it seems it has permanently stained my windshield with a clear white film that I cant take off. Kinda looks like dried up bird shit. I believe it might be calcium, or liquid sulphur that may have dried up on my windshield caused by the pipes?!?!?! I dunno.

My friend has this same problem, where the drops landed on her hood. She cannot take it off. I've tried Windex, Armor All, Scraping it...any suggestions, and anyone ever run into a problem like this b4?

i'll try that...hopefully it works. Should I let it set on the windshield, or just put some in a cotton ball, and wipe it?

Wouldn't WD-40 just act as a coating agent?

yea it will, but strangely enough its cleaned up some weird messes for me might work for this, but i wouldnt bet my money on it. I would use a very little amount and not spray the affected area, wet a cotton ball and scrub on the dirty spot see if it helps.

oh i forgot to ask, any pics of the spot?

found a possible answer...seems i'm not the only one this has happened to. I'll give an update. Though I'd post a link just in case it happens to any fellow 8th'ers

How do I remove this parking-deck-drip stain from my car's paint and windshield? | Ask Metafilter

wish i could lend you my steam cleaner, you might have better luck with that type of steam rather than boiling water via spoon. I have one at home mostly use it for stuff around the kitchen and bathroom.

Again any

ok....so i tried to this...sounds crazy, but i'm having the most progress with this....it's just very tedious...

I put wax on the affected area...left it for about 10 mins...wiped clean...that didnt work

now i tried a razor blade to remove it...it removed a good chunk of the residue, but i can still see the spot from the inside of my car which is weird.
