touch up paint, anyone done this before?

hey guys, i got touch up paint, touched up two spots and boy are they ugly.
i think its cause it was my first time applying it, but it is now "bumpy" and you can tell touch up paint was applied.
is this how its suppose to be?or if not, can i fix it some how?
i tried taking pictures but the only thing you can see is the reflection of my and my camera.

Is the pen available at Honda dealerships and if so is it available in every color? I tried the nail brush paint on an old car and made it look even worse...

Yikes!

No brush, use a toothpick, let gravity and surface tension 'suck' the paint into the area you want to touch up, do a little at a time, let it sit for a bit, apply a bit more, until it's filled fairly well, let it sit, don't drive until it's dry.

The 'pen' is okay, but it takes a bit of finesse to use it properly.

^ it's supposed to be WET-SANDED... and I think 1500 is still a bit too harsh. The only thing that can save you now is a good cutting polish with a porter cable.

+1 for toothpick. The parts guy at my Honda dealership advised against the pen and suggest the toothpick method, work like a charm!

so i just "kindda"got my car fixed...by honda (free) still need to buff it on a weekday to totally get rid of it(reason being, they are busy fridays and my service is free).
they said the pen sucks, brush/over pen, touch up will always look bad. compound is good! don't buff yourself cause honda paint sucks and it will burn your paint if you don't do it correctly.
thanks for all your help guys.

Exactly. I dont use the pen. I unscrew the top and like Cr8tive said, use a toothpick. It works great
