ROCHESTER, NY- Drag Racing Saturday!

Ok all, It's been far too long since I've hit 100 miles per hour. Weather this weekend is shaping up well (trust me, I'm a meteorologist

) and as of now I will be heading to my father's former racetrack, New York International Raceway Park in Leicester.

Opening day is Saturday, I'll be there no matter what. Although I may be put to working to train some new employees there, I will be making some runs.

If you want, we can all meet up at the Marketplace Mall and leave from there. Its about 30 minutes from there. My advice, give yourself at most half a tank, so that way you aren't carrying all the extra weight at the track.

Let me know if you're interested in going, I'll be there no matter what!

haven't looked in this section in too long, missed your thread. I may be interested if I am free, I will find out. Hopefully I can bring some friends too.

and we should start trying to get a rochester meet/gathering together...I would be willing to organize it.

Alright bob, I think I'm in. My buddy (future best man) just got a fa5 a few weeks back...but he has to work so he cant come. My brother in law has a sentra se r spec v 07 and he is gonna come with me. Please dont hate me cuz of my spec v connections

haha, I would love to post better times then him tho and earn some bragging rights.

I went to the website, but I didnt find specific times. What time would you wanna meet at market place, what time does it start/end, etc. And the grad strip is open to everyone? or do I need anything special (safety stuff...licenses?) Sorry, but this would be my first time.

Hey man sorry, been off the past few days. I pm'ed you.

Anyways, tomorrow night is a Friday test and tune. 13 bucks, I'm probably going to try to swing out there. The forecast is looking pretty good for the cooler side of things, which is always good for quicker runs. I'll check the wind situation out tonight.

Let me know if you'd still be interested in going tomorrow!

I'm interested in meeting other WNY Civic/Si enthusiasts. You'll have to excuse me, I'm brand new when it comes to motorsports. I'd be coming from Bflo, about 1.5hrs from the track. My schedule varies a lot though; it looks like weekends in May are bad for me.
