HIDs/Fogs in regards to the cops?

Hey guys,
I was going to get some HIDs (not the obnoxious blue). I was planning on getting 6000K with yellow fogs. Do you think the cops will bother me? Are they actually illegal? What kind of ticket would i get and is it a moving violation that may have any affect on any prior tickets ive gotten? I live in the northern new jersey area. Thanks for the help.

i have the 10000k obnoxious blue in my heads n 3000k in my fogs n i dont have any issues with police. ive driven behind, in front, and next to cops n they dont seem to be bothered. now tint.. thats another story lol. ive gotten pulled over for tint a million times n they never said a word about my lights.

i do intend on lowering down to 6000k since it has better light output than my 10000k

My retrofit hasn't attracted any attention in regards to police.

I have 3k HIDs in my fogs and have gotten pulled over once by a state police officer. He gave me a warning. It is REALLY blinding though.

I think as long as they are aimed correctly and aren't a color that you aren't supposed to have, then you should be fine
