Well I suppose it depends.. a reservation for 30 some odd people may or may not be difficult.. I don't know.. that's why I'm trying to figure that out over a month ahead!

bump for more responses to Mesa Grill.

Hell, if I'm driving 8+ hours down I want to visit a nice restaurant from one of my fav chefs.

seems that no one from NYC has commented lately, so i will go ahead and add my $.02.

this will be a saturday night in may that you will be going out.
visit that mesa grille's website, click on private parties. it mentions that there is a "private balcony overlooking the resturant which can cater up to 50 people"
that being said, you are a group of 30ish people. more than half the resturant. chances are, a reservation for that size, at prime dinner time, will require you setting a time, and calling in the reservation very soon. possible even a deposit.

dont underestimate the size of your group and how crowded it will be.
