Auto cross events in CT

Okay everything is Dave , Danielle's b/f. I just jointed c.a.r.t. / Conneticut autocross & rally team. Well me and Danielle are going to be attending alot of there events. They do the big parking alot event auto cross and they go to lime rock. There are the auto cross dates. All the places are in CT and actual sites are TBA still. Connecticut Autocross & Rally Team

April 13
April 27
May 4
May 18
june 8
June 22
july 13
July 27
August 10
August 24
September 7
September 21
October 5
October 19

pocono dates are:

May 9th
july 21st
august 29th

Lime rock : This Date is canceled due to lime rock repaving their track. sorry guys

Okay here is a quick lesson in the rules and money.
You don't to be a member all auto cross days are 25 for non members and 20 for members. Pocono is 175 and we are there the whole day. lime rock is 195 and its a half day. Its basicly like time attack all these events kinda like at kart track. also during the winter they all meet at kart track too. they follow scca rules and class's .

Helmets are required (sorry no loaners). Every helmet must have Snell M or SA rating and proof of being manufactured within the last 10 years. Helmets must be in good condition (no cracks).

Also your car as to pass tech inspection so no hack jobs . good tires , ur car also as to be clean inside. nothing that can fly away and hurt you or any passengers yes u can have someone in the car , but must be 18 or parents consitent forum filed out. No limit on amount of cars at the auto cross days . 50 to 60 people at the track days. over 100 + cars do show up to the autocross days and its like a huge car show muscle and imports. So look at the site and def got to plane something . The lime rock and pocono events fill up fast. The VP dude said don't wait till the last minute. okay guys hope this sounds like a good time. ttyl

Yeah i hope so. my boyfriend was just so excited when he found out about this and he was so anxious to tell you all cuz he knew alot of ya'll would be interested. hopefully more people will be interested. For what he told me it's like a big car show and people bring grills and food. it's like an all day event. It's kinda like the kick ball meet but with more cars and stuff set up to do auto cross. If anyone has any questions ask us or go to the website. my boyfriend spent hours on the phone with one of the guys who runs it so i'm sure he'll have alot of answers.

I'm sure you'll be a pretty busy guy chris with ur wedding coming up and all

I'm planning to be there on the 13th CART events are fun, I like the way they run their events.

Other than the fact that at Rowley Spring, they never have a porta-jon Plenty of trees around I guess, though!

sorry, noob here

Is this open to all vehicles? It appears so from the cartct.com site, but want to double check. I own a '08 Accord sedan EX-L V6 (she's fairly speedy, but is an automatic ) I guess is this just for race-ready cars or can people come in whatever car and learn to run better regardless of consistently finishing last LOL

More or less. There are safety requirements, but given that your car is an '08, it shouldn't have a problem. Some things to watch for are subwoofers or amps that may be sitting in the trunk unsecured, battery tie downs missing, missing lug nuts, a bunch of crap under the seats, whatever. If your car is still as-delivered from the dealer, you'll have no problem.

Roll-over prone vehicles such as SUV's and Minivans are generally not allowed.
