yeah great meet, i was there for two minutes cause it was so damn cold out, sorry i didnt get to say bye to some of you. but i have a question: i brought my car to honda city and they also ackwoledged the 3rd gear issue, and said to bring it back in and leave it there for a few days so they can open up the tranny, so here the question... is this a bad idea, because ive heard that once they open it they might f*** it up? basically do any of you have any feed back on it... should i do it, or just deal with the problem, and also the second gear just started grinding when i get on it. any input is appreciated...

^id say hold out on the dealership thing til a TSB comes out or a recall in general...the second gear thing you may have something wrong with the synchros so maybe this might be beneficial or just end up costing you a assload of money...maybe get a ss if you dont have one that might be a difference for the better..

and p.s- funny how i remembered you pretty small world...you still talk to those chicks anymore?

haha, yeah man i donno about the second gear ive seen alot of people on these forums with that issue too, plus i baby my car, so if anything would be ****** up it would be the clutch cause i burned it once pretty bad, plus im running out of patience with this damn gear box, but its so smooth when im just cruising around town. i only have off for a couple of weeks from school so i really have to make a decision about bringing it in kind of soon, and im in a pickle.

PS i still talk to Genna once in a while but she lives in the city now so we never really chill.

grinding 2nd is caused by shifting too fast at a high rpm. the synchros will not allow it. you have 3 choices. you must- a. shift sooner, b. pause for a split second in between shifts, or c. master your timing and bounce it off the limiter. as soon as you hit the limiter, clutch and shift. the limiter will bounce your rpm's down quick enough that you can get into 2nd with a quick shift w/out a problem and land right back in vtec.

if the problem is annoying you, let them do what they can/need to. just make sure you have a loaner car. if they do **** up and makes it worse, its in their computer they serviced it and will need to continue to fix it untill it is back to normal or 100% perfect. just dont give the loaner back until you test drive your car to be sure.

it may be a long time if ever that we get a tsb/recall on the transmission. the rsx-s also suffers from teh same problem and they have yet to get one.

BTW, glad you could make it!

brian, i created the wiring diagram for the window switch i used. i forgot to give it to you last night, so here it is. this is for the dynotune 2 stage switch.....and the zex RPM window switch is 90% the same, except it dosnt have a TPS wire.

BTW, jordan, give me some time to get vides. i need a co-pilot to hold the camera and the g/f doesnt know about the nitrous yet, so it will have ot wait until at least next wensday.

If Charlie Becker (master tech) does it I'm certain it'll come out right. He's the one who has worked on my car thus far and he's awesome with it/
