You should be ok in your evo, but most Sis aren't as well equipped for the track.
Thats not bad and how long of an event is it. how many races , how long , are we racing for . Is it like " time attack " or racing others for postion.

Well since my evo is pretty race ready out of the factory i think as of now i should be good to go , but I'll have slotted/drilled rotors with ebc green brake pads , along with a good shock and spring combo of some kind.

Whats should people do to make there si's race track ready.

Its four 25 minute sessions. Laps are not timed bc its not competition, they strongly discourage people trying to 'race' eachother, and if you start acting stupid and putting people in danger you'll get a talk and then the boot. There are very strict passing rules where you can only pass on the 2 straights when the driver in front 'points' you by. The more advanced classes have less restrictions.

I'd do some research into how well EBC pads hold up on track, Ive read enough horror stories to never run a set in any circumstance. Other than that a good brake fluid is a must. As for Civics, I'd get good tires, pads, brake fluid. Honestly get in touch with Cobalt Friction Technologies USA. They really know their stuff when it comes to brakes and motorsports. I get all my stuff from them, and Honda-Tech members get 10% off, maybe we can set up the same for 8thCivic.com.

I was reading around on some other posts and I came up to the same conclusion: tires-brakes are a must for track conditions. Rotors won't do much...but fluid and pads will make the difference. Also high-performance tires would be needed. Do you guys know which offset is supposed to be better for track conditions? (17*7/18*7)
On the pads side I heard good stories about the Hawks.
Overall it looks like around 1500$(track+tires+pads+fluid) adventure but it's worth trying.

Helmet is a must also - Snell SA rated with a nomex liner. They have loaners though, but they're pink to make sure you won't steal them

As for rotors, I'd stick with blanks as well. I've read that a lot of Porsche race teams swap the OEM rotors for blanks bc of higher structural integrity and higher surface area.

Depending how my summer tires are doing when the event happens, here's what I would need:
4 x RE-01R tires $648
2 qts of ATE superblue brake fluid $24
F+R Hawk HP Plus Pads $206
All Shipped from Tire Rack: $932
Mounting and balancing $80

Factor in the event and gas, and Monto is right on the dollar.

I've done my research on EBC for evo's and alot of the guys are running them and love them. as for brake fluid right now its just the stock mitsu brake fluid , but when i do my rotors and pads , upgrade to a high end brake fluid . DOt 4 or higher.

I know Danielle won't take her si out on the track , but I know my evo is itchy for some laps. right now its between apexi , tein or jic magic for suspension upgrade . def going with power slot rotors , i read drilled rotors are not good for road course racing . Also upgrading to higher flow radiator and higher flow intercooler to help out with all the heat i'll be building when i'm under 23lbs of boost. :)
