I gotta go to sleep, but i just want to tell this. Webby i think that you do a lot for this site, like sending the 8th civic cards to people that ask for them for free, that's really amazing.
I think a lot of us overreacted with the thread closing, but i know it's not gonna be the same, basically because it feels like you closed something personal. I do understand what you come from with the whole selling thing, but at the same time, we know who we're dealing with. I'd rather sell something to someone i know than putting it up for sale on the forums. Like if i was selling anything, i would first put it on the thread and let them know to see if anyone is interested. I don't think i would let someone i don't know, buy something from me. I actually feel more secure selling something like that than posting it on the FS forum.
I know the rules have to be the same for all over the site and for everyone, but don't you think that maybe this time it was taken too serious? I mean that thread always had the same stuff going on, so i don't know why now was the time to close it.

Make a sale thread, and state you are looking for local pickup only. It happens daily on the site. Then if you'd like to put the link into this thread - so be it. At least the sale thread is in the proper location and can be traced back to the FS area... and not on page 12k of an ongoing chat.

1. You gotta be joking me?? I never started that thread. Never posted an ad at all. That was directed only at those few who needed that service and who asked a general question and got a general answer. Whether or not you think it was a violation, you will have to show up in court to argue your point, or suffer the consequences. I only answered/replied to a members post. I did nothing to warrant any deletion or "action" at all. I could easily prove in any court in or around the United States that I did no such thing as advertising. These are doctors and lawyers and two of my best friends, one an ACLU attorney, has already come up with the basic legal premise we would use to sue the site, not to mention the appropriate network of process servers so we can serve the owner of record in any state. does this shed a little bit of light into a day of email? Maybe it explains somewhat the amount of stuff dealt with and maybe why the mods do censor certain words and slang against race/religion etc? Things have consequences. You may look at the staff as a bunch of police, but they try to do what is best to keep the site in line. This is just a little taste into what goes on behind the scenes on a daily basis.... let alone on the boards.
