to many people it is though. Post count to some means everything.

Xtreme Thunder - you wouldn't quite follow I guess since you're not in VIP, but other VIP users have "whore threads" where they basically post nonsense to boost their post counts. That is not the sole reason for vip, but they have the ability.

looking as of now - over a quarter of a million posts in the "whore area".

that may explain why some people have such large post counts

I understand Webby what VIP is and offers as I have read what is offered in July of 2006. I had and have my reasons for not spending the money. Too bad people view post count or reputaion that way.

the number of posts is automatically created through the vbulletin software. There are ways it could be removed from the site, but it still shows in your profile history - subscribed threads and so on.

if every instance of post count was removed from the software, you'd see the last 500 of their posts. At least with the way things are setup now.

for the people who've asked to cancel their VIP - they are still members. It is up to them if they want to post. It is honestly sad if they choose to abandon this site due to a thread being closed. I can't make that choice... that is up to them. They still have a thread to chat in. We are just asking to refrain from selling etc
