The fall/winter season is here wat to do?

Wat up all

As you know the fall/winter season is here and my cars first cold season.
For you livng in the northeast with the super cold and snow how are you guys getting your car clean. I refused to go to any carwash and i dont trust any hand car washers either. I have been able to keep my car swirl free and with the winter approach cleaning my car myself (as you all know living here) its the smartest idea in Jersey with the cold weather.
Were are you guys getting your car clean. And if you clean your own cars in the winter were do you do it.

I live in North jersey and wondering what you guys do.

I felt the same way you did last winter.....wondered how in the world i was gonna wash my car. In the end i ended up washing my car by hand in my driveway right through Jan. and Feb. I used luke warm water and multiple layers of gloves. My hands still froze.

I dont know if i'm gonna wanna do that this winter as i dont wanna harm my hands freezing them just to prevent swirling... likes like i'm gonna have to take it to the "hand washes". I know they are gonna siwrl it up but oh well i'll just arrange a good detailing for the spring. I've heard of waterless washes that you can do in your garage but i dont know anything about them. Theres also touchless car washes but i've heard their soap is very acidic and on top of that i know of none in my area.

I got my Si rustproofed and paint-protection through Ziebart. Never have to wax the old Si. I know, I'm a sucker but I tell you it works. I've had my last 5cars ziebarted and have had no issues with rust and the paint on my last car which was 7 years old looked brand new. Their paint protection is a lifetime protection that is re-applied every year. So, I will drive my Si in the wonderful State of Maine and wash it using the brushless car washes once a week that are popping up everywhere.

To wash your car in the winter, go to one of those do-it-yourself spray carwashes and then scrub with a sponge while wearing a pair of those utility gloves dipped in rubber.

That's what I do.

I've got some heavy duty insulated rubber gloves...so I just make sure there's no ice in the hose (keep it inside and drain it when you're done), and wash the car like it's july...except with a coat on. Although it sucks, I try to do it in the sun so water doesn't start freezing, and just keep the whole car wet till I can run around like a mad man drying it off.

Or I go to the automatic car wash/wax because it actually works pretty good.

I also accept that I'm driving my car daily and live in new england, and that it's just a civic...then it gets warm and I pretend I have a lambo again haha
