Mike mentioned heading to a Florida meet some time early-mid 2008 and he surely got my interest(hopefully while it's still cold up here!). I mentioned it to bizzybear and he needs a date in order to get things rolling. (hope he's got a big crib

)It seems like a good idea to get this thing started now cuz it's gonna require a good amount of planning and spending money. I'm thinking this will be atleast a 4-5 day vacation with a few meets during that time. You can attend all of them or none of them, that's up to you. If you're interested lemme know, and I'll add you to the list. Also please throw out suggestions for a date. Let's get this party started! Mike is added by default.

I drove the Si to Florida several months back i didnt stop for sleep i drove 19 hours str8 i am sure a few of you guys can handle that but its not recommended IMO. Its def a nice ride but very long i am sure you guys will have a blast i wish i can do it again with you guys ENJOY

i can get decent hotel rooms on the cheap i really dont mind sharing rooms as long as no one snores.

Kurt, there is no way it would be worth a weekend thing. I don't think it would even work if it is 20 hrs one way...

I am thinking take a week off, leave early Saturday, midway hotel, arrive sometimes Sunday evening. Monday-Friday do whatever. Leave early Saturday, midway hotel, arrive home on Sunday.

Something to that effect.

I am not really driving more than 10 hrs. at a time...

March or April sounds good Shawn...

Well I'd def. make the drive down and back with everyone and probably 2-3 days in the middle... unless we don't go down for that long... at which point I'd say go mid year, lol. I get 3 weeks vacation this year so 2 FL trips would work great!

I dunno 'bout this one. lets see if I can hold on to a weeks vaca I have 50 hrs I think after the virginia meet. Some of these months get long in the winter, then when the warm weather comes I like to take some time. I get more time next july.

wow, this has guaged more interest than i expected already. i updated the list. everything is in the very early planning stages. nothing is set in stone yet. so far it looks like we got a few people who think mar-april would be good. this is when i was thinking as well. i believe Rick has already began making some arrangements for a Florida meet also. hopefully he can chime in here and fill us in.
