Sad to say...

Well, its sad to say...

But I have a feeling Im going to be departing from the FG/FA family, but hopefully only temporarily.

In going through the motions of trying to figure out how to get myself into an Si, Ive sort of come to grips with the fact that... if Im going to make a change, I should bite the bullet and downgrade for a little while.

Why? Well, about 2 months after I bought my EX, I lost my job and accumulated some debt... and, because Im getting married in a year, I really should just do whatever is going to let me pay off that debt quickest, and unfortunately... upgrading to an Si isnt going to help me do that.

So, I may just straight up be selling my EX and driving a beater for a while so I can pay off my debt.

This does NOT mean Ill be leaving 8th and the NE section (i could never)... it just means that I wont have an FG/FA to bring to meets.

Wow Chris, that sucks but I understand where you're coming from. 3 weeks after I bought my Si, I lost my job. Was out of work for 2 months. I stuck it out though, thank God I have some savings. Good Luck and post pics of what you might get!

whatever it is, we need to dyno it

Hey man do what you gotta do. At least you will have something to look forward to for your next car. Maybe by the time you get the Si etc.. it will have a facelift

Cars mean nothing when your in a bad spot. You've made friends thats better then an Si. Maybe not better then a Type RR (J\K)
It will all work for you. What kind of beater you looking for?

My parents have a 93 accord and a 96 maxima that theyve held onto for a while. My brothers drove them when they were in high-school, but they are both away at college now, so the cars just sit in the driveway. Needless to say, ill probably drive one of those for the time being.

I do appreciate the moral support, cuz im pretty bummed about all this. Unfortunately, I had gotten myself pretty excited about getting an Si.

Thank you all!... and a little... just for me

Take care of the debt first Chris. I say take that 1993 Accord to the meets, esp if that is the one you showed me online the other night!

Like Paul said, we need to dyno whatever you decide to get.

Don't be a stranger around here in the time being ya know...you got that meet to plan remember!

LoL, yea... I had a 91 accord that i drove in high school. I loved that car. Had I not fallen asleep @ the wheel and flipped it into a ditch, id probably still be driving it today.

And no worries, Ill still be around here.

Sorry to hear... but does this mean you'll be parting out anything of your car or are you going to sell it as is?

I am willing to part out everything except the wheels. I am keeping those and putting them on an Si immediately, when the time comes.

Everything else:
- Intake
- Downpipe
- Muffler
- Grille
- Semi-cleared Headlights

can be parted out, but for now... the car is F/S with the mods installed.

Ive only had one response so far for my car.... but at least its starting.
