Where were you on 9/11?

RIP to all the innocent lost lives..

I used to work at 7 wtc. The week of the tragedy was my first week back to school (Baruch cuny)

Started my new schedule, tuesday and thursdays all day in school...

Still cant understand why people think tragedies can change the way of the world....

to quote my boy Lupe Fiasco:

"The ink of the scholar is worth 1000times more than the blood of the Martyr" **** CAPITALISM!

In my office. At first, people were saying a small plane crashed into one of the towers. None of us could grasp the enormity of the events as they were unfolding that day.

I was in 9th grade biology class. My class overlooked the hudson river southbound. We could see the smoke from the WTC from our classroom! Alot of kids started getting called out until eventually the school made an early dismissal.

I was home sick and didn't even turn the tv on until almost 1pm. At that point there were still a whole bunch of rumors and no one really knew for sure what happened.

I was in college. I woke up for class and turned on the TV minutes after the first plane. I was still half asleep before I realized why every channel was talking about an explosion at WTC. I thought it may have just been the anniversary of the parking garage bombing from 1993. Not until MTV, VH1, and even the Weather Channel were talking about it did I realize just what was going on.

That's when I saw on live TV the second plane. I couldn't move. I felt sick. I called my mom (she owned a day care at the time) to see if she knew, and how she was handling the kids and their questions.

i was in 9th grade social studies class... 4th period. we were supposed to watch some tv show that day but she got a phone call from someone telling her she was not allowed to put on the tv. my school went into lockdown and a lot of kids got called into the office (bc of parents who worked there). no one was allowed to come in or leave the school. we had to stay in the building with all the blinds shut. we found out after 9th period at the end of the day.

Sophomore in High School, sitting in World Civ. Then gym class where they had the TV on and we watched the first tower fall live. We played soccer outside during gym. My school was across the river from Bradley International. First time in my life the sky has ever been plane free and quiet. Beautiful weather, but ominously quiet. It was weird when the planes finally got back to flying.
