Things to do in Boston?

So I've never been and its one place I'm thinking of visit in late Aug. Just wondering if ppl could recommend places to see - either there or around. Also is it beach weather in Cape Cod then still?

If there are any other places to see along the way back to Toronto plz recommend too. We're prob gonna drive straight there, but take our time on the way back.

So I have a vague idea... Harvard, Cambridge, some colonial stuff (if you have specific places). Also looking for museums, places to run, places to bike (and perhaps rent a bike), where to stay - inside city or outside etc. or any specific hotels that look good, and maybe a good restaurant - one with more healthy stuff than necessarily big steaks (ie where you can get low oiled food, veggies, maybe seafood + options for non seafood eaters).

Thanks!

If you end up going to the aquarium def. hit the north end for some great italian food, its only a 5 to 10 min walk from the aquarium. alot of small cafe's to check out on Hanover st.

Besides stuff already mentioned: Freedom trail, Old Ironsides, North Church, baked beans, tour bus, Red Sox, Original Filene's basement, etc., etc.

Get a trans pass, and then jump on/off subway, trains, bus, etc.

Only wear a yankees hat if you like loser teams. The basement is closing for a remodel so that is out. For hotels you can expect to pay around $100 per night for anything decent, MFA is awesome and currently has the second largest egyptology exhibit in the world. The Freedom Trail is ok...if you like lots of walking, I prefer walking around Harvard square and the north end. Don't go to Faneuil Hall, It is in essentially a mall and will be packed.

Oh and I'm just kidding about the yankees, but not really.

Normally the Cape is great in August. This has been a cool year, but it should still be warm enough then. Enjoy your stay

lol...I am at U of T Mississauga now a days... what are you taking?

lol to the Yankees had! I think once in my life I almost bought one but I couldn't succumb! Unfortunately my gf won't let me catch a game at Fenway Park but if Boston is anything like Cleavland or NY I should see merchandise ANYWHERE hehe.

So we're definately gonna see these activities:

- Freedom Trail
- Franklin Park Zoo
- Harvard Square
- New England Aquarium
- MIT museum
- Battleship Cove
- Mayflower II (replica)
- Peabody museum
- Salem witch museum (Salem)

- And possibly Cape Cod

Although I have a cousin in Marblehead which I've heard is also a beach town right? I might go visit him there.

I go to Boston every once in a while for work and as long as you don't mention Yankees (they really don't care about the '86 Mets anymore since they won the World Series) or wear any NY sports attire then you're ok with them.

Are you serious you go to UofT mississauga? Do you blaze?? lol, cause if you do, you got it off me, or someone else who got it off me... I pretty much ran that place last year. I was in CCIT, but it was too hard... too much money and clubbing and not enough focusing. Thats why I'm back in Boston goin to Umass for the next semester. What year are you? Did you live on rez? I lived in homestead last year, and McLuhan first year.
