UPDATE!!!-THERE MAY BE A $6 PARKING FEE PER VEHICLE... As i stated below, I checked this park out a few weeks ago and there was no one in the booth at the entrance. Parking was FREE. However a few 8th members stopped by yesterday to see the place for themselves and there was a fee for parking. After talking with park officials this morning it looks like there may be a $6 parking fee. I hope this is not a problem for anyone. It's only 6 bux. If it is, please post up if you will not be able to make it especially if you planned on bringing something that we will NEED for the BBQ. I'm going to investigate it further to confirm the fee...Confirmed on 7/17...

I tried to find a central location for us people from Dutchess County aka "Upstate NY" and for those coming from the surrounding areas. The location is a little over an hr from the following places:

Hempstead LI ~ Staten Island ~ Sterling, PA ~ Jerz City ~ Norwalk, CT ~ Danbury, CT ~ Kingston, NY ~ Liberty, NY



I went to check out the spot this past weekend. It has grills, picnic tables, a nice field, bathrooms, and a HUGE lot which isn't in the best condition but will suit our needs just fine. This is a chance to get out and have some fun other than standing around & talking about our cars(although that never gets boring ) Just click on the link to map it out, then sign up on the list. If you can bring something add that to the list also. If you cannot bring anyhting DON'T worry about it. Just show up! There is not enough room for softball, sorry guys. Please feel free to bring other things like frisbees, wiffle ball, etc etc. Let's see how many of us we can get out there and have some fun!!!



DIRECTIONS




Playing is not a requirement for the meet. Please come along even if you don't want to play. You can laugh at those of us who do! Also, bring your g/f, b/f or whatever the case may be! The more the merrier! Please wear a name tag so we know who the hell you are!!!

Sorry guys gotta leave the booze @ home for this one... That means please do not bring alcohol. Of course we could probably get away with it, however if we do get thrown out, it will RUIN this meet...
