Food- BBQ is possible but we are close to City Island which is a restaurant hot spot. Johnny's Reef would be the likely spot.

Caravan- For the all people who are coming from Upper Westchester/ Upstate there will be a caravan from Cross County Shopping Mall down to the meet. its close to the hutch south so its accessible for everyone.

Directions
From Queens/LI: Whitestone -> Hutchinson River Pkwy (north) -> Orchard Beach/City Island exit.

From Brooklyn: Triboro -> Bruckner Expwy (north) -> Orchard Beach/City Island exit.

From Manhattan: Willis ave. Bridge -> Bruckner Expwy (north) -> Orchard Beach/City Island exit.

From Upstate: Interstate 95 (south) -> Orchard Beach/City Island exit.

From CT: Merritt Parkway (south) which turns into the Hutchinson River Pkwy (south) -> Orchard Beach/City Island exit.

just have to hope for the weather.. after all it is technically a beach :).. this weekend is supposed to be nice, hopefully next weekend is also :)
