Does NJ Require a Front License Plate?

I know some states dont require it... also can it be placed behind the windhsield or on the side of your bumper?

side of the bumper is fine - front bumper obviously. Like the Evo style.

I don't know if Jersey requires it or not. Usually if they give you 2 plates at the dmv - it's required. Do most people around you use 2 plates?

yes front plate is required and must be clearly visible. I wish it wasn't required by law though especially since 45 or 46 states don't require it..heh On some cars, it just ruins the front end style of the vehicle.

I like it mounted off-side like the EVO.. I swore they stole my idea..haha

I've taken it off on every car I've owned, never had a problem. Even passsed inspection in my 96 Dodge Avenger w/o one. It's illegal but you can get away with it.
